We often advise customers to use USB to connect their MIDI keyboards to MPC Standalone consoles; this will trigger the MPC's inbuilt sounds.

If you would rather record your keyboards inbuilt sounds instead of the MPC sounds, please follow the steps below...

1. Connect the main outputs of your keyboard to the left and right 1/4" inputs located on the back panel of your MPC.

2. Create a new empty project.

3. Click the 'Audio' tab in the bottom left corner of the display, then tap the 'eye' icon.

4. Tap on the Input Monitoring button, which by default reads "OFF," to change it to "AUTO."

5. Play your keyboard to hear its sounds through the MPC - you can now record it as an audio track.
