Steps to Configure Multi-Output Assignments for MPC2 in Cubase:
Launch Cubase.
Create an Instrument Track.
- Assign MPC Software as the instrument.
Navigate to the Track Inspector.
- Find the track inspector on the left side of the screen.
Enable Output Assignments.
- In the drop-down menu, select the desired output assignments.
- A checkmark will appear beside assigned outputs as seen below (all output enabled):
Open the Mixer.
- Press F3 on your keyboard to bring up the mixer.
Verify Outputs.
- Ensure individual channels for mixing drum programs and other instrument tracks are visible.
- Specify MPC Output channels
- Click the icon below to launch the plugin in Cubase
- Click the 'Channel Mixer' in MPC
- Configure output assignments as desired
Limitations in Cubase:
- Cubase does not support specifying virtual MIDI inputs for each channel in the instrument track.
- Hardware-assigned MIDI inputs are required, limiting multi-track MIDI configurations for MPC2.
