To enable your MPC to receive MIDI Clock information from your DAW, you'll need to use a 5-Pin MIDI to USB interface, as the USB B port on the MPC does not support this functionality.

Once you have connected the 5-Pin MIDI to USB interface from your computer's USB port to the MPC's 5-Pin MIDI ports, follow these steps:

1. On the MPC, go to Menu > Preferences > MIDI/SYNC tab and set Sync Receive to MIDI Clock.

If you also want your DAW to start playing when you press the MPC's play button, set Sync Send to MIDI Clock.

2. In your DAW, configure your project to send MIDI Clock through the 5-Pin to USB interface. The exact location of this setting varies by DAW, so please check the User Guide of your software.

3. Ensure the tempo in both your DAW and the MPC matches. You can change the tempo of your MPC by using the BPM field under the Sequence section of the Main screen; this is marked in yellow below...

Now, your MPC will automatically play when you hit the play button in your DAW.
