When the built‑in microphone is active, the unit automatically disables the internal speaker. This behavior is intentional and designed to prevent feedback.

Audio feedback occurs when sound from the speaker is picked up by the microphone and re‑amplified, creating a continuous loop that can result in screeching noises. Disabling the internal speaker while the microphone is in use helps ensure a clear audio experience.

If you would like to hear audio playback through the internal speaker, you will need to deactivate the built‑in microphone by selecting a different input source. To do this:

1. Hold down the SHIFT button and press SAMPLE to open the Input Config menu.

2. Change the input source to anything other than Mic (for example, Rear or USB).

Once the input source has been changed, the internal speaker will be re‑enabled automatically.

If you wish to use the built‑in microphone while listening to your performance, please connect a pair of headphones to the headphone output on the rear panel.
