Studio Instrument Collection is your go-to premium toolkit for composing or performing in any environment. Designed from the ground up to integrate with the Akai Professional MPK® mini IV, it provides a virtual instrument locker of the finest presets from AIR, Moog, and Akai.

Choose your journey
With the Studio Instrument Collection, there are two ways to get started. You can either get creative straight away and begin making sounds, or take the music production option, which gets your MPK mini IV registered for access to additional music tools and content. Check out the different options below:
Getting started immediately
1. Download the Studio Instrument Collection installer.
2. Run the installer and follow the onscreen instructions.
3. Launch the application once the install has completed.
Please note, the Studio Instrument Collection will operate without restriction for seven days, after which you will be prompted to register your MPK mini IV with an inMusic Profile account, to continue enjoying full access.
Using the inMusic Software Centre
1. Download the inMusic Software Centre.
2. Double click the downloaded file, to run the installer.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
4. Open the inMusic Software Centre application.
5. Select 'Log In' if you already have an inMusic Profile (skip to Step 10) , or select 'Sign Up' if you need to create one.
6. If selecting 'sign up', choose 'I am also registering hardware' to add the MPK mini IV to your Profile.
7. Connect the MPK mini IV to your computer for the serial number to automatically be detected. Alternatively, you can add the serial number manually.
8. Follow the instructions on-screen, to enter your details. The email address entered will be used to create your inMusic Profile.
9. A confirmation email will be sent. Follow the instructions in the email, and then select 'yes, I confirmed my email' once complete.
10. Proceed to log into your new account. if you have already logged in, you can select 'add new product' from the top left of the inMusic Software home page, to add the serial number.
11. Follow the steps shown on screen, with your MPK mini IV connected to your computer. This will redeem the included software.
IMPORTANT - There will be an opportunity to update the device Firmware. An Update is required for users to receive the best experience with DAW script mapping and Studio Instrument Collection.
12. Select the applications that you would like to install - the Studio Instrument Collection is shown on the apps page as seen below.
13. Finally, choose any DAW control scripts you would like to use, if you are planning on using the Instrument Collection inside of a DAW, with your MPK mini IV.
Launching the Studio Instrument Collection
There are two ways you can choose to use the Studio Instrument Collection - either completely standalone, or as a plugin within your DAW.
Standalone
To use this as a standalone software, simply launch the standalone application for Windows or macOS.
DAW
To use this within a DAW, follow the below steps:
1. Open a supported DAW host software.
2. Open your software’s Preferences, Options, or other menu to scan for Studio Instrument Collection as a new plugin. Consult your software’s documentation for more information.
3. In your project, add Studio Instrument Collection as a plugin instrument to a track, and then open the plugin window.
Authorization
The Studio Instrument Collection can be used without restriction for seven days, after which you will be prompted to log into your inMusic Profile, register your MPK mini IV (if you have not already), and authorize the software.
To authorize:
1. Click the menu icon (≡) and then select Log in to log into an existing account, or Create an account to create a new one.
2. After logging in with your inMusic Profile, you can now authorize the software on your computer. You will be automatically prompted to authorize when opening Studio Instrument Collection if you have not already. Alternatively, you can click the menu icon and select Authorize.
3. If you need to Deauthorize Studio Instrument Collection from your computer, for example if you want to use it on a different computer, you can click the menu icon and select Deauthorize to remove the authorization.
