Note: The following steps apply only to Plugin Instruments and their associated expansion packs.

The contents of this article cover setup instructions for Plugin Preset Expansion Packs for MPC OS hardware.


This applies to the following Plugin Preset Expansion Packs:


  • Flavor Pro - Marco Polo Presets Vol 1
  • Hype  - Homage Expansion
  • Fabric XL - Urban Heat
  • OPX4 - Pro Motion Expansion

inMusic Software Center


1. To download your Plugin Preset Expansion Pack - Visit your inMusic Profile and download the inMusic Software Centre


2. After the download completes, It will open up the inMusic Software Center




3. Click on Let's Go! and will then take you to a browser window to sign into your newly created inMusic Profile. Enter both your email address and password and click on "SIGN IN"


Downloading / Installing the Plugin Preset Expansion Files


1. Click My Expansions from the tab on the left:



2. Scroll down to Preset Expansions


Note: if the expansion is not seen, you may have purchased the software using a different email to your inMusic Profile - If you're in this position, contact our support team for assistance. 


3. Click the drop-down icon to download the build suited for your Akai Hardware - Click Download. See the screenshot below:



4. Once downloaded, click 'Transfer'


Note: If 'Transfer' does not appear... You have downloaded the expansion installer for desktop - Navigate back to step 3. 



5. You will be presented with a Choose your Drive window, select the drive you wish to transfer the preset expansion to.



Note: If your drive is connected to your MPC/Force, place your MPC/Force in controller mode by tapping the microchip icon in the Main Menu



6. Once you have confirmed your drive, click Transfer


7. Wait for the files to transfer


8. Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a Transfer Complete message confirming the drive the expansion has been transferred to



9. The plugin preset will be in the Plugin Expansions folder on your drive.


 


10. Safely eject the drive from your computer/place your MPC/Force back in standalone mode.


Locating the Plugin Preset Expansion on your Standalone Akai product (Force or MPC)


1. Insert the drive into your Force/MPC. Your new presets will appear in the MPC OS Sounds browser under the main Plugin.
